As a Medical Advisory Board Member, you will play a vital role in our fight to end drug poisoning deaths through harm-reduction philosophy. You will provide expert guidance and advice to our team on a range of medical issues related to substance use and addiction.

Physician – Substance Use

The physician provides comprehensive substance use care which emphasizes accessibility, health promotion, illness prevention, harm reduction, and continuity of care for our clients, including those experiencing homelessness and those with complex substance use and mental health needs and other structural vulnerabilities in our large urban catchment.

FHC physicians work as part of a community-based interdisciplinary primary health care team to deliver high-quality primary health care services for optimal individual and community health outcomes. The physician role contributes to clients’ health and well-being through skills and activities associated with assessment, prevention, education, rehabilitation and/or therapeutic support services consistent with the standards of care outlined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Physician (Queen West)

The Physician provides comprehensive, primary health care which emphasizes accessibility, health promotion, illness prevention and continuity of care for our clients, including families, children, refugees, those experiencing homelessness, and other individuals who occupy our large urban catchment. The physician functions both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The work will be based at the Queen West site.
