Tenant Services Worker

The Tenant Services Worker provides excellent, respectful, and non-judgmental support to all of HOTT’s residents consistent with HOTT’s mission and values. The Tenant Services Worker focuses on eviction prevention and housing stabilization across the residential portfolio and works collaboratively with the HOTT staff team. This position offers room for professional growth, including training in Rent-Geared-to-Income Administration after the first six months.

Housing and Settlement Worker

Working collaboratively, this front-line role provides initial housing, settlement and case management services, and supports to Shelter residents with the goal of successfully transitioning residents to permanent or transitional housing accommodations and the larger community. The successful candidate will be highly relational, a collaborative team player with a genuine desire to assist and equip CRWC refugee families in their basic orientation to life in Canada.

Housing and Drop-in Worker – Relief

The Housing and Drop-In Worker works with the drop-in and Housing teams to ensure the smooth operation of the programs and their related services to PARC members and tenants. While working in the Housing program, they are responsible for maintaining and promoting the wellbeing and independence of each resident.

Pest Control and Hoarding Specialist [$28.76 per hour]

This position minimizes and eliminates bedbug/pest infestations and hoarding issues; keeping current on technologies and procedures; ensuring adherence to the mission statement, policies, and procedures of Homes First Society.

Maintenance Worker [$28.76 per hour]

Maintenance Workers perform corrective and preventive maintenance on the Agency’s buildings, maintain a safe and healthy work environment, prepare vacant units for occupancy and adhere to the mission statement and policies and procedures of Homes First Society.

Residential Service Inspector

RSI’s are responsible for monitoring and documenting contract standards in Habitat-funded boarding homes. RSI’s complete building/food inspections, as well as liaise with home operators, boarding home staff, tenants, on-site support services and other service providers to mediate conflict, help resolve issues, and improve the quality of life for individuals living in boarding homes.

Transition House/ Second Stage -Program Manager

Reporting to the Society’s Executive Director, the Program Manager, Joy’s Place, is responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety and site maintenance of Joy’s Place Transition House and Second Stage Housing, as well as the recruitment, training, supervision, and assessment of all program staff, including volunteers, practicum students, etc., in accordance with the Society’s policies and in alignment with the philosophies and values of Tri-City Transitions Society.

Housing Support Worker Coordinator

The PARC Housing Support Worker Coordinator is responsible for supporting adults living with mental health and/or addiction challenges in a community-based independent living environment. They are responsible for maintaining and promoting the well-being and independence of each resident. This may include but is not limited to providing: daily tenant support, crisis support care/planning, supplies management, referrals, life skills coaching, group facilitation and day-to-day tenancy management.

Shelter Peer Support Worker

The peer support program aims to provide effective peer-to-peer supports to people currently living in shelters by drawing on the unique benefits of shared lived experience and support clients to achieve greater housing stability, in addition to providing meaningful opportunities for people with lived experience of homelessness.
